How To Clean Your Puffer Jacket Without Washing
At KOZE, we know that our customers care about maintaining their wardrobe staples as much as we do. That's why we've put together this handy guide on how to refresh your puffer jacket without having to wash it. Like our previous guide on how to choose a puffer jacket, we aim to make this process easy and accessible to everyone.
1. Brush off any dirt
Your Black Longline Puffer Jacket or Stone Longline Puffer Jacket might have picked up some dirt after a day out. Use a soft brush to gently remove any visible dirt from the jacket. Remember, always brush gently in the direction away from the seams to avoid damaging the material.
2. Spot clean stains
Occasionally, your Charcoal Puffer Jacket or Khaki Puffer Jacket may end up with a small stain. Instead of washing the whole jacket, spot clean the stain. Use a mild detergent diluted in warm water and a soft cloth to gently clean the area. Avoid using hot water or harsh chemicals.Â
For makeup stains, try using a mixture of equal parts water and vinegar, applying it to the stain and gently blotting with a clean cloth. For other stains, use a stain remover specifically designed for delicate fabrics. Always test a small, inconspicuous area before applying to the stain directly. For tougher stains, consider a professional cleaner.Â
Remember to avoid using bleach and fabric softeners, and avoid excessive rubbing or soaking.
3. Air it out
Let's be honest; our jackets can start to take on the scents of our everyday lives, especially if you've been wearing your Chocolate Cropped Puffer Jacket for post-gym strolls. To refresh your jacket, hang it up in a well-ventilated area to air out. This will help remove any unwanted smells without having to wash it.
4. Use a Fabric Refresher
For a deeper refresh, consider using a fabric refresher spray. Make sure the spray you use is suitable for the material of your puffer jacket and that it doesn't contain any harsh chemicals that could damage the fabric or affect its water-resistant properties.
5. Keep it fluffy
Just like our Black Longline Puffer Vest, our puffer jackets rely on their fluffy insulation to keep you warm. Over time, this insulation can get a little flat. To fluff up your jacket, throw it in the dryer on a low heat setting with a couple of clean tennis balls. The balls will help to redistribute the insulation and restore your jacket to its original fluffiness.
Caring for your puffer jacket doesn't have to be a complicated process. By following these steps, you can prolong the lifespan of your jacket, keeping it fresh and ready for every winter adventure.
